Venus entered Scorpio on September 10, 2026 at 4:12 AM ET (08:12 UTC) and stays until October 25, 2026 at 4:56 AM ET (08:56 UTC), when it moves into Libra. Venus is stationary, turning retrograde within days. ### Is Venus Retrograde Right Now? No. Venus is direct as of October 1, 2026 at 04:42 UTC. Its next retrograde begins on October 3, 2026 at 3:09 AM ET (07:09 UTC) at 8°29' Scorpio and ends on November 14, 2026. In Scorpio, those themes take on a intense, private, probing, and all-or-nothing quality. Venus's sign describes the collective taste in affection, beauty, and spending. A Venus retrograde is associated with revisiting relationships, values, and old loves. ### How Long Does Venus Stay in Each Sign? Venus normally spends four to five weeks in a sign. About every 19 months it turns retrograde for roughly six weeks, which can keep it in one sign for around four months. It is never more than 47 degrees from the Sun. ### Why Do Some Sites List a Different Date for This Sign Change? Most astrology sites print a single date without a time zone. An ingress at 10:49 PM in New York is already the next day in London and Sydney, so two correct sources can disagree by a day. Selfgazer gives every time in both US Eastern time and UTC, and the tables switch to your own time zone in the browser. ## Method Positions are geocentric and tropical: apparent longitudes on the true ecliptic and equinox of date, corrected for light time and aberration. They are computed with the open-source Astronomy Engine library (VSOP87 planetary theory) and agree with the Swiss Ephemeris to within about one arcminute. The North Node is the mean node. Times are given in UTC and US Eastern time. Source: [Selfgazer](https://www.selfgazer.com/sky/venus). Free to cite with a link to the source page.
