Enter your birth date to find your Life Path number, the number many writers now call your personal angel number. The calculator shows every step, including master numbers.
How the Calculator Works
The calculator follows modern numerology, the system L. Dow Balliett shaped in the early 20th century and her student Juno Jordan carried on. It reduces the month, the day and the year of your birth separately, adding digits until one digit remains, then adds the three results and reduces the total. The master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept whole at every step, as the system teaches.
Life Path Number or Angel Number?
"Personal angel number" is a recent name for the Life Path number. The repeating numbers you notice, such as 444 on a clock, are read differently: one sighting at a time, through the number's root digit and the moment it appeared. The angel numbers guide covers those, with a finder for any number you keep seeing.
Chaldean numerology, which Cheiro popularized in English, gives letters values by sound and holds 9 sacred. It is used mostly for names, so a birth-date number follows the modern system.

Angel Number Questions
What Is My Angel Number?
When people ask for their angel number, they usually mean the Life Path number of modern numerology: the digits of the birth date reduced to one digit or a master number. It differs from the repeating numbers you notice on clocks and receipts, which numerology reads one sighting at a time.
How Do You Calculate a Life Path Number?
Reduce the month, the day and the year separately by adding their digits until one digit remains, keeping 11, 22 and 33. Add the three results and reduce the total the same way. Born on 29 July 1990: the month is 7, the day 29 gives 11, the year 1990 gives 19, then 10, then 1. 7 + 11 + 1 = 19, then 10, then 1.
What Are Master Numbers?
Master numbers are 11, 22 and 33, which modern numerology does not reduce to a single digit. L. Dow Balliett, who shaped the system in the early 20th century, is credited with 11 and 22; 33 was added later. Numerologists read 11 as illumination, 22 as the master builder and 33 as the master teacher.
Why Reduce the Month, Day and Year Separately?
Adding every digit at once reaches the same single digit, but it can skip past a master number along the way. Reducing each part first keeps a master number in the day or month visible, which is why most numerologists teach the three-part method this calculator uses.
Can My Angel Number Change?
Your Life Path number comes from your birth date, so it stays the same for life. The repeating numbers you notice change all the time, and each one is read on its own, through its root digit and the moment you saw it.
